These Terms of Service govern your use of PSLE Prep, operated by Novus Path Pte Ltd, Singapore.
By using this website, you agree to these terms.
1. Service description
PSLE Prep provides online learning tools, practice exercises, and related educational content to help students prepare for the PSLE Chinese and English oral examinations.
The service is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Accounts
You may create an account using Google Sign-In.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
You must not use another person's account.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Free trial. New accounts include a limited free trial (currently 10 practice sessions). The trial does not require a credit card and only becomes a paid subscription if you choose to subscribe.
Subscription. Paid access is offered as a recurring monthly subscription, billed in Singapore dollars at the price displayed at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
Auto-renewal.Your subscription renews automatically each month for the same term and at the same price unless you cancel before the next renewal date. We will give you at least 14 days' notice by email before any price change, so you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account (powered by Stripe). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access for the rest of the period you have paid for, and you will not be billed again.
Refunds. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial months and unused sessions. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@psleprep.sg within 14 days of the charge and we will review your request in good faith.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry the charge a small number of times. If payment still cannot be collected, your subscription will be suspended and access to paid features will be paused until your payment method is updated. You can update your payment method at any time from the billing portal.
4. Use by minors
The service is for students under the supervision of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must create the account or start the diagnostic session for the child.
For users under the age of 13, a parent or guardian must consent to the use of the service and the collection, use, and disclosure of data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the use of the service by minors.
5. Microphone and voice input
The service uses your device's microphone to capture spoken responses for speech recognition and pronunciation assessment. Your browser will ask for permission before the microphone is activated. You may revoke microphone access at any time through your browser settings.
We may store voice recordings from practice and mock exam sessions where needed for scoring, reports, and replay. Stored voice recordings are retained for up to 12 months unless you delete them earlier. Diagnostic audio and daily practice audio is processed for scoring and discarded unless the product clearly offers playback or history for that recording.
We do not use children's stored voice recordings to train our AI models. Parents or guardians may request deletion of stored voice recordings at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. AI-generated content
Practice feedback, scores, and examiner responses are generated by artificial intelligence. These are provided as learning aids and should not be relied upon as definitive assessments of language ability or as predictions of exam performance.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse the service
- attempt to access other users' data
- interfere with the website
- use the service for illegal purposes
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
8. Availability
We do not guarantee the service will always be available.
We may change or remove features at any time.
9. Data protection and deletion requests
Our collection, use, disclosure, storage, retention, and deletion of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Parents or guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data, including deletion of stored voice recordings.
If consent is withdrawn or data needed to provide the service is deleted, some features may no longer work and we may need to close or restrict the account.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is".
We are not responsible for:
- loss of data
- exam results
- educational outcomes
- interruptions to service
To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited.
11. Intellectual property
All content on PSLE Prep belongs to Novus Path Pte Ltd unless stated otherwise.
You may not copy or distribute content without permission.
12. Changes to terms
We may update these terms at any time.
Continued use means you accept the changes.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
